A well-tailored traveler has wandered into the Pocket Dungeon, replete with wares. Mr. Hat will provide you with various headpieces that modify your game in scores of wacky ways! There are 92 run modifiers to collect!

About the Puzzler's Pack DLC

Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon Puzzler’s Pack DLC just released and is FREE for folks who own the base game! Before you delve in, make sure that the game is up-to-date (2.0.0) on Nintendo Switch, Steam, and PS4.

HAT Modifiers

What are Hats?

Hat modifiers are extraordinary headpieces that grant you unique abilities, spawn level hazards and enemies, create cosmetic changes, and much much more while on your run! You can equip one or stack multiple! The choice is yours!

Keep an eye on the shop's chaos meter, the more you stack, the more challenging your run will get.

Note: Hats are not currently available in VS mode but that would be pretty cool for a future DLC pack…

How to access Mr. Hat’s Shop

To access Mr. Hat’s shop, you’ll need to unlock Castle Quandary and play at least one Quandary challenge. (You do not need to beat it!)

Once completed, Mr. Hat will open up shop and start selling you headgear!

How to acquire Hats

You will need to purchase them with Gems (nothing is free in this life, bucko!) By this point in the game, you should have a ton of Gems to spend! If you don’t, delve back in the dungeon and start earning.

The hats for sale spawn randomly so, if you don’t like the selection, go for a run and come back! 

If you are a cheater, you can also enter this seed for a ton of Gems: FREEGEMHAX

Note: Certain cosmetic hats are unlocked by completing the Trial of Offerings Quandary Challenge with specific characters. 

What do Hats do?

They modify your run in a variety of ways. In total, there are 92 hats to purchase & earn. You can equip & remove them in Mr. Hat’s shop.

Stack them for even more chaotic fun!

The more hats you add, the bigger the challenge awaits you in the Pocket Dungeon!

But be warned... if your headpiece palooza gets too wild, Mr. Hat might reprimand you on your run…

Note: Mr. Hat has a 5% chance of appearing after equipping 2 hats. The more hats equipped the higher the chance you have of him appearing.
