I beat all of them. Specter of Torment is hands down my favorite. I love the backstory that you see when you beat it as well as the playable black & white scenes telling Specters story. He kept his promise in the end. The challenge modes for each game are a lot if fun too.

It's my favourite of the three campaigns so far too, in fact I've started it again on both 3DS and Vita since the update on them.

Unfortunately Shovel Knight is too hard for me. I find it incredibly frustrating and the retro pull isn't enough to make me like it when it kills me so often :/ Such a shame...

My best tip for a first playthrough is dont worry about the coins and just master the controls.

Chris should well have some skill's with all great games you play! Am actually shocked you find it difficult.

So am I! Yet I find myself dying over and over and getting so annoyed by it that I have no desire to keep going. I'm no stranger to hard games (as you know, I beat Tropical Freeze on hard mode in every level and got every puzzle piece), but I think Shovel Knight just feels so much more unforgiving?

Knowing me, I'll keep pushing on it and go back to it to force myself through as it's a game I want to love. That certainly won't be soon though.

Well its nice that you can replay levels if you're short on gold and you unlock more abilities as you progress. At least you don't have to worry about running out of lives. :]
